Please read these terms carefully before using our platform or booking any service.

These terms govern your use of the ServiceIt Home Services platform and all associated services.

Important: By accessing or using our platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and ServiceIt Home Services ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of our website, mobile application, and all services offered through our platform (collectively, the "Platform").

If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you are expressly prohibited from using the Platform and you must discontinue use immediately.

2. Platform & Services

ServiceIt Home Services operates as a technology platform connecting users seeking home services with independent service professionals. We facilitate bookings but are not the direct provider of home services unless explicitly stated.

  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Platform at any time without prior notice.
  • Service availability may vary by location, time, and professional availability.
  • We strive for accuracy in service descriptions but do not guarantee completeness or current availability of all listed services.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of our Platform, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with any third party.
  • Accept responsibility for all activities occurring under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at support@serviceit.in of any unauthorized access or security breach.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are found to be fraudulent.

4. Bookings & Cancellations

Booking Confirmation: A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of our confirmation notification. Bookings are subject to professional availability.

Rescheduling: You may reschedule a confirmed booking up to 2 hours before the scheduled time without any charge, subject to professional availability.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations made more than 4 hours before the scheduled service: No charge.
  • Cancellations made within 4 hours of the scheduled service: A cancellation fee of up to 25% of the service cost may apply.
  • No-shows (professional arrives and user is unreachable): Full service charge may be applied.

Our Cancellations: In the unlikely event that we cancel your booking due to professional unavailability or unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund and priority rebooking assistance.

5. Payments & Pricing

All prices displayed on the Platform are in INR and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

  • GST at 18% is applicable on all services as per government regulations. Our GST Registration Number is 29AABCT1332L1ZD.
  • Payment must be made in full before or immediately upon completion of the service, as applicable to the payment mode chosen.
  • We accept payments via credit/debit cards, UPI, net banking, and cash (where available).
  • Prices may vary based on service complexity, location, and timing. Any additional charges will be communicated to you before commencement of work.
  • Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to use the Platform to:

  • Engage in any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activities.
  • Harass, threaten, or intimidate service professionals or other users.
  • Provide false information about the nature or scope of services required.
  • Attempt to circumvent our Platform by directly hiring professionals you met through us (outside of our Platform) during the term of your engagement and for 12 months thereafter.
  • Post or transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of our Platform.

7. Service Professionals

Service professionals on our Platform are independent contractors, not employees of ServiceIt Home Services. While we conduct background verification and skill assessments, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of all information provided by professionals.

  • Professionals are required to adhere to our Code of Conduct, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Any misconduct should be reported to us immediately via support@serviceit.in or +91 98765 43210.
  • We are not liable for the actions, negligence, or omissions of independent professionals beyond the remedies available through our guarantee program.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • The Platform is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
  • Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our Platform shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the 3 months preceding the claim.
  • We shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
  • We are not responsible for any damage to property caused by service professionals beyond what is covered under our guarantee program.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and service marks — is the exclusive property of ServiceIt Home Services or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written consent.

10. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or our services:

  1. Informal Resolution: You agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting our support team.
  2. Escalation: If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, either party may escalate to formal mediation.
  3. Arbitration: Disputes not resolved through mediation shall be settled through binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India).

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
